Happy Holidays! Store Hours through Christmas Eve are Sunday from 12-4, Monday-Saturday 10-6. We will be open Christmas Eve from 10-2. We will be closed beginning Dec. 25th~Dec. 28th and will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 29th. We sincerely appreciate your loyalty to Bridget Gallaghers. It is because of you that we are celebrating 5 years in business! We couldn't do it with out you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to serve you better.
We have three exciting tours to Ireland scheduled for 2010. Our May tour only has 6 openings. We will travel on the West Coast of Ireland and up into Northern Ireland. Our Emerald Isle Dream Tours are in June and September. Both these tours are 11 amazing days throughout the Republic of Ireland. You can click on the tour tab of our website for basic information. We are pleased to announce our Bridget Gallagher's Memorial Award Winner of our Emerald Isle Dream Tour for 2010.
Congratulations to Karen Sulkowski of Michigan who was announced as our winner. Karen was nominated by her friend, Marcia Gabrish.
Our heartfelt thanks to all of you who nominated your loved ones. It was a very difficult decision and each of your essays touched our heart very deeply. We would love to have taken each and everyone of the nominees to Ireland as deserving as they all were.

Christmas is just right around the corner! Our Holiday Open House is going to be for an entire week this year, beginning Saturday, November 14th ~ Saturday, November 21st. Stop in and have some refreshments while you enjoy browsing around the store and take in the excitement of the holidays. • Yarn Spinning Demonstration by Ruth Affleck of Alpaca Heaven, demonstrating the centuries old art of spinning yarn from fleece of Alpacas and sheep. Stop by and bring the kids to see the Alpacas and a little lamb named Trinity in our yard!
• JR Armstrong, Irish-American author, will be signing her latest novel, “Owe It To the Wind” between 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
• A visit by our own Leprechaun is sure to bring a smile to young and old alike!

Something new and exciting Bridget Gallagher's is offering is a Weekend Tour to Dublin....that is Dublin, Ohio. Join us as we head to the Dublin Ohio Irish Festival July 31st ~ August 2nd, 2009. This festival is named one of the top 100 events in North America!! You can leave the driving to us as we have chartered 2 coaches that will depart from Bridget Gallagher's on Friday, July 31st. This package includes a 2 night stay at the Embassy Suite Hotel, admission to the festival which includes over 120 Irish bands/performances/traditional events, etc., VIP tour of the city, several meals, 2 cocktail receptions, snacks, t-shirt and so very much more! What a fun way to celebrate your heritage this summer. You won't want to miss this exciting weekend!

Philip Gray's Visit To Bridget Gallagher's

On Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th, Bridget Gallagher's was honored to host world-renowned Artist, Philip Gray, from Cobh, County Cork, Ireland. Bridget Gallagher's was selected by Philip to host his first workshop ever conducted in the US. His workshops are very popular in Ireland and there is always a waiting list of interested participants.
Philip's visit began with a wine and cheese reception at Bridget Gallagher's, held in his honor, with over 100 guests. All guests attending placed a pastel mark on a pastel board and Philip created a magnificent piece of artwork. This is currently being made into a limited edition that will be available to purchase exclusively to Bridget Gallagher customers.
The second day of Philip's visit consisted of a workshop which was limited to 16 participants. Each participant received private instruction from Philip and created their own pastel or two, which they took home. Some created an oil as well. A luncheon was served and it was an opportunity for some social time with each other and with Philip. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and described by most as the best art workshop they had ever attended! Philip has agreed to come back next year and present another workshop. A fine selection of Philip's artwork, including limited editions, can be purchased at Bridget Gallagher's.
