On Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th,  Bridget Gallagher's was honored to host world-renowned Artist, Philip Gray, from Cobh, County Cork, Ireland. Bridget Gallagher's was selected by Philip to host his first workshop ever conducted in the US.  His workshops are very popular in Ireland and there is always a waiting list of interested participants. 

Philip's visit began with a wine and cheese reception at Bridget Gallagher's, held in his honor, with over 100 guests.  All guests attending placed a pastel mark on a pastel board and Philip created a magnificent piece of artwork.  This is currently being made into a limited edition that will be available to purchase exclusively to Bridget Gallagher customers. 

The second day of Philip's visit consisted of a workshop which was limited to 16 participants.  Each participant received private instruction from Philip and created their own pastel or two, which they took home.   Some created an oil as well.   A luncheon was served and it was an opportunity for some social time with each other and  with Philip.  The day was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and described by most as the best art workshop they had ever attended!  Philip has agreed to come back next year and present another workshop.  A fine selection of Philip's artwork, including limited editions, can be purchased at Bridget Gallagher's.
